The gravtity-actuated mechanical Auto-Grip™ lift truck attachment is equipped with standard jaws that are spring-and-cam actuated and grip with pressure equal to the weight of the drum. This drum handler is more efficient than many hydraulic drum grips on consistently-sized loads, and easy attachment to the lift truck allows a single operator to pick up, transport and unload empty or full drums up to 1500 lbs. Lift truck attachment features rubber-lined jaws that adjust to fit most smooth-sided 30-, 55- or 85-gallon steel and overpack drums, or any cylindrical object 18-28” in diameter. Secures to lift truck forks with heavy duty T-bolts.

* Note: This drum handler is not efficient on fiber drums, because they can easily lose their shape when gripped.

The usable fork tube size for the Gravity Actuated Auto-Grip™ is 1-5/8" x 5-5/8" x 16-3/4”. The Auto-Grip adjusts by sliding apart, so there is a variable width between the forks of 13" to 25".
